On behalf of Milwaukee Plating, CB&I submitted a Request for Closure dated April 28, 2014. The DNR sent a Closure Denial Letter dated June 23, 2014. The DNR determined that an off-site Vapor Assessment is required at 1422 N. 4th Street, located south of Milwaukee Plating. The best way to proceed with the DNR's vapor assessment request is being evaluated. As there is another open site with chlorinated solvent contamination at 1416 N. 4th Street (Vogue Cleaners), it is critical to have a sampling protocol which will determine if the source of any vapor contamination detected at 1422 N. 4th Street is from Milwaukee Plating, Vogue Cleaners, or another nearby property.
