Activity Name: JIMS AND CINDYS BAR

Comments: A Progress Report was submitted January 4, 2018. Subsequent discussions with DNR staff resulted in installing 10 monitoring wells (MW-12A, 12B, 12C, 13, 14, 15, 16A, 16B, 17A, 17B) in late May - early June to determine the eastern extent of impacted ground water. Nine soil borings were installed along the south side of the onsite building to characterize current soil conditions. Soil samples were collected. Soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells were installed in 6 of the soil borings. A Pilot Test was completed in early June to assess the effectiveness of SVE (soil vapor extraction) and to obtain design parameters for the planned SVE system. The monitoring wells were sampled June 25, 2018. Bottled water is provided to the residence at 14789 Hwy. 73 (Keepers). The property boundaries at 14789 Hwy. 73 were surveyed to determine the location of a replacement water supply well. The carbon filter at the Country Store were replaced every 3 months. A Progress Report is in prep. This report will recommend a SVE system be installed to remediate the source soil and ground water. This is important because of the threat to nearby potable wells.
PECFA Cost Est: $250000
