During the July 1 to December 31, 2019 reporting period, BNSF continued to coordinate with WDNR, EA (WDNR design contractor), and the City of Superior regarding the Pickle Pond restoration project. BNSF provided access to EA to conduct various pre-design field activities on BNSF property adjacent to Pickle Pond, and helped facilitate the field work by providing railroad safety support. On October 29, 2019, representatives from the WDNR, EA, the City of Superior, BNSF, and Arcadis (BNSF consultant) met in Superior, WI for a Design Charrette to discuss various design components and conceptual alternatives for sediment remediation and habitat restoration activities at Pickle Pond. BNSF submitted a letter on November 8, 2019 with follow-up comments from the Design Charette.
