Semi-annual groundwater monitoring is ongoing at the site, with the next sampling event scheduled for April 2020. An annual groundwater monitoring report summarizing the sampling results through October 2019 is being prepared. Preparations are being made to contact DNR regarding case closure and VPLE COC.
Semi-annual groundwater monitoring events were completed at the Express Cleaners property in April and October 2019. In April, groundwater elevations were collected from ten monitoring wells and one piezometer. Groundwater samples were collected from seven monitoring wells and one piezometer for water quality parameters and volatile organic compounds, and MNA samples were collected from two wells.
