A comprehensive investigation report was prepared for the site and submitted to WDNR in November 2020. The report requested that the WDNR approve the site investigation work completed to date that has adequately characterized soil, groundwater, and soil gas impacts and allowed an evaluation of potential risks to human health and the surrounding environment in relation to continued site use (former landfill).
In response to the August 17, 2020 WDNR letter regarding regulation of emerging contaminants, Sigma proposes to gather and review relevant site historical information including available records regarding materials likely historically placed at the landfill. The results of this assessment will be presented to the WDNR within a Site Investigation Addendum Report in the coming months.
