The WDNR received a copy of an August 11, 2020 Focused Phase II Environmental Site Assessment report prepared by Stantec for others utilizing Calumet County assessment grant funding. The WDNR issued an October 7, 2020 letter to Newell Operating Company (NOC) indicating that the NR 716 Site Investigation (SI) for this VPLE site was not complete. NOC retained Ramboll US Consulting, Inc. (Ramboll) in late October 2020 to complete the SI activities. On November 30, 2020 the WDNR approved a request for an extension of the SI Work Plan submittal deadline to February 28, 2021. An updated site survey and initial walkthrough were completed by Ramboll on December 10, 2020.
