During this time period, Superior Water, Light & Power (SWL&P), together with Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC (Foth) advanced the following efforts: (1) Implemented the Pre-Design Investigation (PDI) in July 2020 in accordance with the DNR-approved PDI Work Plan; (2) Validated the PDI data and incorporated the findings of the PDI into the draft Upland Remedial Actions Options Report (RAOR); (3) Submitted the complete draft RAOR to DNR on November 5, 2020; (4) Participated in various meetings with DNR to discuss the PDI findings and the draft RAOR; (5) Received DNR comments on the RAOR on November 25, 2020; and (6) Incorporated DNR comments and submitted the final RAOR to DNR on December 5, 2021. Once DNR approval of the RAOR is attained, SWL&P and Foth plan to commence the remedial design (RD) activities for the upland portion of the site with the goal of constructing the remedial action in the summer of 2021. Also note that during this time period, SWL&P applied for Great Lakes Legacy Act (GLLA) Funding through the EPA. If accepted into the GLLA program, SWL&P and Foth, will move forward in preparing a Sediment RAOR as a Feasibility Study under EPA and DNR oversight.
