During the July 1 to December 31, 2021 reporting period, BNSF continued to coordinate with WDNR, EA (WDNR design contractor), and the City of Superior regarding the Pickle Pond restoration project. BNSF participated in project conference calls on July 19, November 5, November 19, and December 9, 2021. On November 12, 2021, BNSF submitted supplemental information to WDNR and EA regarding the proposed filter strip location. On December 8, 2021, BNSF submitted responses to WDNRâs October 18, 2021 responses to BNSF and City of Superior comments on the Remedial and Habitat Design 75 Percent Design Report.
BNSF also continued to coordinate with WDNR and the City of Superior regarding draft agreements related to the potential transfer of certain BNSF-owned property adjacent and proximate to Pickle Pond to the City. As requested by WDNR, on December 13, 2021, BNSF submitted a letter to WDNR regarding the property donation process.
