During the January 1 to June 30, 2022 reporting period, BNSF continued to coordinate with WDNR, EA (WDNR design contractor), and the City of Superior regarding the Pickle Pond restoration project. BNSF participated in project conference calls on January 12, January 25, February 11, March 3, March 25, June 3, June 20, and June 23, 2022. On April 15, 2022, BNSF provided comments on the Pickle Pond Remedial and Habitat Design 90 Percent Design Report, prepared by EA, and received by BNSF on March 16, 2022. On May 3, 2022, BNSF provided comments on the Restoration Long-Term Maintenance Plan, prepared by EA, and received by BNSF on April 5, 2022. BNSF also continued to coordinate with WDNR and the City of Superior regarding draft agreements related to the potential transfer of certain BNSF-owned property adjacent and proximate to Pickle Pond to the City.
