Supplemental RI will be awarded NLT 30 Sept 2023.
Groundwater samples will be collected from four existing and three newly installed
monitoring wells and analyzed for PAHs using USEPA Method 8270 with Select Ion Monitoring. It is assumed that a total of 7 groundwater samples, exclusive of QA/QC, will be collected and analyzed for PAHs. Twenty soil samples were collected during previous investigations at OW014/TU015. PAH ES exceedances identified in shallow soil samples are associated with general historic site operations (asphalt sealing, repairing, general maintenance activities, etc.)
and infiltration through the asphalt and are not representative of impacts associated with the former
OWS or UST. However, soil samples will be collected within the vadose zone beneath the asphalt (1 to 3 ft bgs) at three borings advanced to install permanent monitoring wells to confirm previous findings in the source area and to provide data for soil in the area of the planned groundwater samples. It is assumed that a total of three soil samples, exclusive of QA/QC, will be
collected and analyzed for VOCs and SVOCs.
