An annual site status report documenting 2023 sampling and active remediation activities and results is being prepared for submittal to WDNR by March 1, 2024. Current site activities are being completed per the site's 2010 operation and maintenance plan. Sampling of groundwater at monitoring wells was completed. Active gas extraction and site monitoring was performed during the reporting period.
Groundwater monitoring well abandonment and replacement activities were completed in 2023, as proposed in a plan modification dated 11/22/2022 and approved by DNR.
Clarification of abandonment procedures was submitted in a letter to DNR dated 7/13/2023.
Documentation of well network modifications was submitted to DNR on 8/24/2023.
