An FSI work plan with a request for potential funding assistance through DERF was submitted to the DNR in September 2023. DNR comments for the FSI plan were discussed during a phone call and received via email on November 15, 2023, and included installing the proposed deep piezometer with double-casing, evaluating groundwater flow in the deep piezometer network, additional information of the sewer system north of the Site, and an emerging contaminant scoping statement. Additionally, DNR stated in an email dated November 14, 2023, that before DERF acceptance can be approved, the property owner, Glass Vault, LLC, will need to obtain an agent agreement from the current DERF applicant, Ron VanAsten. This agent agreement should be submitted with the amended FSI work plan and explanation as to why subcontractor bidding cannot be done. EnviroForensics is currently working toward addressing the DNR comments for the FSI plan and DERP funding assistance.
