This site was included in the RCRA Permit for Fort McCoy. Therefore, there has been oversight from both EPA and the WDNR in moving the site toward closure. In December 2014, Fort McCoy recieved approval from the EPA to discontinue groundwater monitoring at the site. The EPA is in the process of closing out the RCRA Permit. Currently the WDNR project manager is checking with the EPA to determine if the site can be closed prior to the EPA taking action to close the permit. A closure request will be submitted to the WDNR when the EPA agrees that the time is right.
