Correspondence dated July 29, 2015 was submitted in response to WDNR correspondence dated May 21, 2015 requesting an update on the investigation
activities and cooperation for planned City of Oak Creek utility corridor work in and around the Former Koppers Tar Plant and Wabash Alloys Site.
During the weeks of August 10th and 17th a new sanitary sewer section was installed by the City of Oak Creek in areas of contamiantion. Beazer provided oversight of the work through the impacted area including the stockpiling and containment of impacted soils and groundwater. Beazer arranged for off-site disposal of impacted soils and the City of Oak Creek arranged for the discharge of impacted groundwater to the sanitary sewer.
A project meeting was held on October 1, 2015 to discuss the remedial action options report (RAOR). We are waiting on formal review comments on the RAOR from the WDNR.
A round of groundwater samples was collected on October 22,2015 from selected newer monitoring wells that did not have 8 quarters of sampling results.
