In early August 2016 Sigma met with DNR project review team to discuss the denial letter for direct contact cap design for select locations at the landfill site. During the meeting Sigma presented a thorough evaluation of the historical data and recent groundwater trends and biodegradation potential at the off-site locations. Based on DNR feedback received during the meeting Sigma is working with the Village of Whitefish Bay to develop appropriate investigation plans to evaluate potential risks at off-site locations.
