OPEN SPILL INCIDENTS

The list below includes open incidents currently being investigated and evaluated. The list is generated from the Spills Electronic Report Tracking System (SERTS), which is used by DNR regional spill coordinators, wardens, duty officers, and hotline staff to track reports of hazardous substance discharges and potential discharges that may require an immediate response due to the potential to adversely impact human health, welfare or the environment.

Spill incident information is updated when provided to the DNR by the responsible party. There may be omissions and errors in the data and delays in updating new information. Once a spill has closed it is available on BRRTS on the Web. Some reported spill incidents may be resolved as a complaint or transferred to a different activity type.

Questions? Reach out to the listed DNR contact. Media inquiries should be directed to DNRDLPress@wisconsin.gov.

The list is sorted by County and Municipality. Click on the column heading to sort by that column. You may export this list in Excel format at the bottom of the page.
