PORTAGE COUNTY LCD: Portage Co EWM Implementation Plan
Portage County, in cooperation with partnering municipalities and lake organizations, proposes to work toward implementation of planning to control Eurasian Water Milfoil in a number of lakes open to public use. Major project elements to include: 1) GPS mapping, 2) property owner training, 3) support for dive and "clean boat" teams, 4) weevil surveys and stocking. Project results to be shared with the public and partners through articles in local newspapers, brochures and print materials, public speaking engagements, etc. (Standard report approval and format language)
