FOND DU LAC COUNTY: Kettle Moraine Lake Long Term Exotic Species Control Study
The Fond du Lac County Land and Water Conservation Department, on behalf of the Kettle Moraine Lake Association, proposes to control Eurasian watermilfoil (EWM) through chemical treatment and preventative measures in Kettle Moraine Lake during the period 2005 - 2007.
The project includes mapping the extent of EWM annually; treating EWM infested areas with aquatic herbicides; and conducting volunteer activities to prevent further aquatic invasive species infestations, including distributing educational materials to lake users, conducting watercraft inspections and posting/maintaining informational signs at public access points.
