LAKE GEORGE LAKE ASSOCIATION: Lake George Environmental Education Project
Lake George Association is sponsoring an Aquatic Invasive Species Education, Prevention & Planning project which will focus on preventing the introduction of additional AIS into Lake George and educate lakeshore property owners on shoreland protection.
Project activities include:
1) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program at the public landing from May 6-Sept 10, 2006
2) Deliver suspect AIS to WDNR
3) Install AIS and CB/CW kiosks at private landings
4) Develop informational packets for lake visitors and lake residents
5) Conduct 2 AIS monitoring surveys by boat and shoreline (mid-June & mid-August)
6) Summarize grant activities in newsletter
7) Entry of inspection forms 3200-120 onto Dept website by lake association
