FRIENDS OF BEAVER CREEK RESERVE, INC.: Stewards of the Lower Chippewa River Part 2

Beaver Creek Reserve is sponsoring an AIS Education, Prevention and Planning grant to fund an AIS coordinator position for the Lower Chippewa River.

Project activities: Develop stakeholder group, coordinate Celebrate the Lower Chippewa River Conference, train AIS volunteer monitors, participate in statewide education strategies, CBCW, implement AIS Strategic Plan, host work days.

Project deliverables: Examples of education, outreach, and event materials; agendas and minutes from meetings; trained AIS/Project RED volunteers; Celebrate the Lower Chippewa River Conference; updated strategic plan; Rapid Response plans as necessary.

Special conditions: 1) WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of updated strategic plan. 2) Sponsor will work with regional WDNR AIS Coordinator if new AIS are found. 3) In kind labor, equipment, and services documentation shall be collected and maintained in accordance with grant program guidelines for reporting in kind donations.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lakes Coordinator.
