MUSKELLUNGE LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC.: Muskellunge Lake Early Detection & Response Grant
Muskellunge Lake Association is sponsoring an AIRR grant to help fund a project which will focus on surveying, monitoring, mapping, and considering management options to the new discovery of EWM in Muskellunge Lake, Vilas County.
Project activities include: 1) Conduct annual professional and volunteer AIS surveys; 2) Conduct watercraft inspections and enter data into SWIMS; 3) Develop annual maps and reports; 4) Develop end of project report.
Project deliverables include: 1) EWM survey data and maps; 2) Inspection time and entered data; 3) Annual reports and final report describing the findings of the AIS, any hand-pulling efforts, and guidance for continued monitoring and/or control actions.
Specific conditions for this project: Annual reports and final report need Dept review and approval.
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of reports, all maps, and all aquatic plant and any GIS data.
