CROOKED LAKES AREA LAKES PRTCTN & REHAB DIST: Crooked Lk APM & CBCW Education & Prevention Plan

The Crooked Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to control Eurasian water-milfoil (EWM) through chemical treatment and preventative measures in Crooked, Bass, and Gilkey lakes during the period 2007 - 2010. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Crooked Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District's Aquatic invasive Species Control Grant Application, dated July 28, 2007.

The project includes; to hire an aquatic plant management company to conduct annual pre-treatment and post-treatment surveys to monitor the extent of Eurasian Water Milfoil and efficacy of treatments; treating Eurasian Water Milfoil with aquatic herbicide; implementing a volunteer aquatic plant monitoring program; continue the "Clean Boats, Clean Water" program.
