RIVER ALLIANCE OF WISCONSIN: River Alliance of WI LaCrosse
River Alliance of Wisconsin is sponsoring a project to coordinate AIS activities in a three-county area in SW Wisconsin focusing on the Mississippi River and its immediate tributaries in la Crosse, Trempealeau and Buffalo Counties.Deliverables: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, volunteer number counts and complete monitoring reports summarizing actions taken during the duration of the grant.Project Activities: 1. Coordinate AIS activities within La Crosse, Trempealeau and Buffalo Counties, including La Crosse AIS Partnership; 2. Implement AIS Strategic Plan for Mississippi River; 3. Conduct AIS outreach and educational events in coverage area; 4. Lead local Clean Boats Clean Waters along Mississippi River.Project Conditions: 1. All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 2. Conduct AIS monitoring with Department approved protocols; 3. Follow the Department's Rapid Response protocols following a discovery of a new AIS populationThe project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records and reports, including GIS based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specifies by the regional Lake Biologist.If the consultant is to provide a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee proved the DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR is to receive both a paper and electronic.pdf copies of the final report along with or prior to submission of the grantee's final payment request.
