DEER LAKE DISTRICT: Deer Lake Eurasian Water Milfoil Rapid Response Project
Deer Lake District is sponsoring an Aquatic Invasive Species Rapid Response project to be completed by June 30, 2009. The project will focus on chemically treating approximately 0.25 acres of Eurasian Water Milfoil in Deer Lake.
Project activities include: 1) Complete mapping of EWM; 2) Chemically treat approximately 0.25 acres of EWM; 3) Complete a EWM summer and spring treatment assessment survey; 4) Conduct a EWM identification and hand removal training; 5) Volunteer hand removal of EWM following chemical treatment; 6) Prepare Treatment Report.
