J&R AQUATIC ANIMAL RESCUE: SWE - Habitattitude Exotic Pet Surrender Events

J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue is will be sponsoring Habitattitude events for pet owners to responsibly surrender pets instead releasing the pets or living parts of the pet\2019s enclosure into the environment. The events can take place in any county to provide statewide coverage.

Project final deliverables include: Reports from each Habitattitude event that take place including: number and type of animals surrendered and rehomed, the number of people contacted during the event, the number of volunteers, volunteer organizations, and volunteer hours, and a summary of promotional efforts and earned media.

Specific project activities include: 1) Hosting at least 1 event in each of the following: Fox Valley, Madison, Milwaukee, Stevens Point, Eau Claire, and La Crosse 2) Engage with additional nonprofit organizations in the Rehoming Events. 3) Distribute at least 1 press release in advance of each surrender event. 4) Engage at least 10,000 additional people through targeted online advertising.

Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database
