HORSESHOE LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Horseshoe Lake AIS Early Detection and ResponseProject, 2009-2011
The Horseshoe Lake Improvement Association is sponsoring a three-year project on Horseshoe Lake, Barron and Polk Counties, to do the following activities: hybrid Eurasian watermilfoil management and monitoring; public education, including AIS workshop(s) and web updates; watercraft inspection in partnership with the Turtle Lake School District; AIS monitoring; and development of an aquatic plant management plan including completing a sociological survey.
