ROUND TRADE LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Trade Lakes Eurasian Watermilfoil Early Detection & Response Project

Round-Trade Lake Improvement Association, Inc. is sponsoring a four-year early detection and response project that will monitor and manage a pioneering population of Eurasian watermilfoil in Trade Lake and develop a management plan for Trade Lake and lakes (Round and Long Trade) upstream in the Trade River system.

Project activities include: 1) Pre- and post-treatment aquatic plant monitoring following guidelines provided by the Department on Trade Lake and possibly other lakes with prior Department approval; 2) Chemical treatment and/or SCUBA and manual removal of Eurasian watermilfoil on Trade Lake only; 3) Aquatic Plant Management Plan for Trade Lake that also addresses upstream aquatic invasive species sources and management in Round and Long Trade Lakes.
