THE NATURE CONSERVANCY: AIS Control Lulu Lake -Mukwonago River
The Nature Conservancy will undertake a mapping and removal project for several invasive species. The project will take place on the Lulu Lake, Crooked Creek and Ann Meyer preserves, all owned by the Nature Conservancy. The work will be done by a combination of Conservancy staff, volunteers and contractors. The project includes control of Phragmites, purple loosestrife, reed canary grass, buckthorn, Eurasian water milfoil and narrow leafed cattail. Control methods include hand pulling, hand cutting, backpack chemical treatment and beetle rearing/dispersal.
