Menominee County proposes to control Eurasian Water-milfoil (EWM) in Moshawquit Lake by implementing control measures during the period 2010-2012. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Menominee County Aquatic Invasive Species Control Grant application, dated March 31, 2010. The project includes conducting pre- and post-treatment surveys and mapping the extent of EWM, including a DNR approved Point Index survey; controlling EWM with aquatic herbicide treatments; and implementing an aquatic invasive species prevention strategy that includes developing an awareness & education program. Annual progress reports and a final report summarizing the three-year project will be provided to DNR.
