TOWN OF BARNES: 2023 Sand Bar and Tomahawk Lakes EWM/HWM Management Project

Town of Barnes is sponsoring a project to map & manage EWM beds in Sand Bar Lake and Tomahawk Lake for 2023.

Project final deliverables include:

1. Final Report summarizing accomplishments/progress of the grant including all EWM planning, EWM data and maps, treatment and hand pulling data collected with maps, and outreach activities including agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and mailings.

a) Pre & post treatment PI results and maps

b) Herbicide &hand removal-DASH report

c) Beetle Rearing report

d) Annual strategy and evaluation reports

e) CLMN data entered into SWIMS

f) AIS data entered into SWIMS

2. Financial Payment Request with documentation of grant administration time and services, contributions, financial match, proof of payment of expenditures, and organizations providing financial support.

3. Additional related materials generated/paid by this grant.

Specific project activities include:

Project includes pre & post treatment PI, mapping of EWM beds, herbicide/hand-removal strategy, EWM treatment and appropriate permits, hand-removal of non-treated beds, herbicide/post herbicide testing with maps, beetle rearing report, CLMN data, AIS data, annual reports discussing previous findings and future strategy.

Special Conditions: CLMN efforts should not be duplicated.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, reports, GIS-based maps, and digital images must be submitted to DNR in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

If consultant provides final report, it is recommended Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
