MILLER DAM LAKE ASSOCIATION: Chequamegon Waters Comprehensive Lake Management Plan
Miller Dam Lake (Chequamegon Waters Flowage) Association will conduct an Aquatic Plant Survey and develop an Aquatic Plant Management Plan for Miller Dam Lake. The Lake contains Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) and Curly Leaf Pondweed (CLP). A point intercept plant survey will be conducted to produce a baseline evaluation of the plant community. To apply management actions in an ecologically sound manner the lake association will develop an aquatic plant management plan to guide their efforts.
Preliminary goals (APM Plan) include: 1) Effectively manage EWM and CLP; 2) Maintain and improve recreational opportunities; 3) Preserve native aquatic plants; 4) Protect and improve fish and wildlife habitat; 5) Evaluate water quality concerns; 6) Evaluate Lake Watershed and potential nutrient impacts.
