SQUASH LAKE ASSOC: Squash Lake Association's Early Detection and Response Grant

Squash Lake Association is sponsoring an AIRR grant to be completed on Squash Lake, Oneida County. The project will focus on AIS education, prevention, and monitoring and hand-harvesting of EWM in Squash Lake.

Project activities include: 1) Professional and volunteer AIS monitoring; 2) Annual EWM mapping; 3) Purchase and building of monitoring supplies and equipment (as listed on page 16 of proposal); 4) Hand-harvesting of EWM via scuba divers and volunteer snorkelers; 5) AIS prevention and education; 6) Prepare annual summary and final report.
