FRIENDS OF LONE STONE LAKE INC: Lone Stone Lake Large Scale AIS Management Grant

The FOLS is sponsoring a project to implement an integrated pest management strategy for EWM management including an herbicide treatment (with expected whole-lake impacts) in Lone Stone Lake in 2026.

Activities: 1) EWM management (herbicide treatment); 2) Point-intercept survey; 3) Herbicide concentration monitoring and analysis; 4) Water quality monitoring.

Deliverables: 1) EWM management and permit reporting (herbicide treatment records); 2) Data from aquatic plant surveys; 3) Herbicide concentration and water quality monitoring results in SWIMS database; 5) Annual and final EWM management and monitoring reports.

Conditions: 1) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols. 2) Conduct annual meeting with DNR to discuss EWM management for the next year before aquatic plant management permit applications are submitted.

Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
