PHILLIPS CHAIN O'LAKES ASSOC: Phillips Chain AIS Control & Prevention Project

The Phillips Chain O\2019 Lakes Association is sponsoring a project which includes the finalizing of an Aquatic Plant Management Plan including proposed management options to control Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM). One of the recommendations that will be considered is a whole lake chemical treatment on Wilson Flowage. Before that can be considered an updated point-intercept survey needs to occur on Wilson Flowage. The project includes the following goals: 1) Wilson lake Point-Intercept Survey; 2) EWM mapping survey on Wilson, Long, Elk and Duroy Lakes; 3) Specimen preservation and vouchering. Project deliverables include: A final report will be completed discussing the results of the surveys and recommended treatment strategies in the winter of 2012.
