HORSESHOE LAKE PROPERTY ASSOC: Horseshoe Lake Rapid Response for EWM
The Horseshoe Lake Property Association is sponsoring a four (4) year Early Detection and Response project that will monitor and manage a pioneering population of Eurasian watermilfoil in Horseshoe Lake. Project activities include: 1) Point-intercept survey(s) and seasonal and/or pre- and post-treatment aquatic plant monitoring following guidelines provided by the Department; 2) Chemical treatment and/or SCUBA and manual removal of Eurasian watermilfoil; 3) Information and Education Program. Special condition: WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance shall be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring, pre/post treatment monitoring, and aquatic plant management plan development unless otherwise approved by the Department. Specific deliverables for this project include annual progress and final reports of monitoring and management activities, including aquatic plant survey spreadsheets and pre/post treatment monitoring, and any educational materials developed.
