SANDSTONE FLOWAGE ASSN: Sandstone Flowage AIS Control
The Sandstone Flowage Association proposes to control Eurasian water milfoil (EWM) through chemical treatment and prevention measures on the Sandstone Flowage during the period of 2011-2012. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Sandstone Flowage Aquatic Invasive Species Control Grant application dated July 25,2011.
The project includes conducting annual pre and post-treatment surveys in accordance with DNR established protocal, to monitor the extent of EWM and efficacy of the previous year's treatment; treating EWM infested areas with aquatic herbicides; and conducting education and prevention activities to prevent further AIS infestation, conducting watercreft inspections and distributiing AIS literature.
