CITY OF SHEBOYGAN: City of Sheboygan Lakeshore Park Properties

The City of Sheboygan is undertaking a project to eradicate a pioneering population of Phragmites australis in three City of Sheboygan parks located along Broughton Drive. The City will utilize their Department of Public Works employees and equipment to cut the Phragmites and will hire a consultant to map, monitor and chemically treat the Phragmites. The project will take place in 2012, 2013 and 2014. A final report will be submitted to the Department detailing areas cut and chemically treated, results of the annual plant surveys, herbicide treatment records and a discussion of the successes and challenges of the project. Two paper copies and 1 electronic copy of the report will be provided to the Department.
