LOST LAKE PROTECTION & REHAB DISTRICT: Lost Lake AIS-EDR Project - Phase 1
Lost Lake P&R District is sponsoring an AIRR grant to be completed by June 30, 2016. The project will focus on surveying, monitoring, mapping, and hand-pulling the new discovery of EWM in Lost Lake, Vilas County.
Project activities include: 1) Conduct annual early-season AIS and peak-biomass surveys; 2) Conduct volunteer AIS surveillance monitoring; 3) Control EWM by professional hand-removal efforts; 4) Host a project kick-off meeting; 5) Purchase a GPS; 6) Develop annual maps and letter report.
Project deliverables include: 1) EWM survey data and maps; 2) GPS; 3) Annual letter report describing the findings of the early-spring survey, peak-biomass survey, hand-pulling efforts, and guidance for continued control actions.
Specific conditions for this project: Annual letter report needs Dept review and approval.
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of letter reports, all maps, and all aquatic plant and GIS data.
