DANE COUNTY: Stewart Lake Management Planning
1) Monitor and identify sources of sediment and nutrients. 2) Map and test sediments for contaminants. 3) Examine feasibility of sediment removal. 4) Examine feasibility of stormwater diversion and detention basins. 5) Prepare hydrologic, sediment, and total phosphorus budgets. 6) Identify land use activities adversely impacting lake. 7) Prepare a comprehensive management plan which describes management alternatives. 8) Disseminate information to the public by local newspaper, fact sheets, public meetings, summary and entire report mailings, comprehensive management plan.
