DRUID LAKE INLAND P & R DISTRICT: Druid Lake Sensitive Area Mapping & Septic Education
The Druid Lake Inland Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to 1) develop a sensitive area map of Druid Lake; project activities include preparing a base map of the lake, conducting an aquatic macrophyte survey to determine location of aquatic plant beds, and conducting a survey of the bottom substrate of the lake to identify habitat types; 2) conduct public education on maintenance of septic systems and replacement options for failing systems; project activities include preparing a brochure on maintenance and conducting a public education day on septic systems; and 3) preparing a final report detailing the results of the project.
