FOX LAKE INLAND LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Fox Lake Management Planning-Community Educational Outreach
Educational project to inform the local community regarding Fox Lake's water quality, biology, physical characteristics, public uses, social impacts, economic value, and historic value, and to organize support for the Beaver Dam River Priority Watershed Project. Planning Grant project will consist of 1) production of a quarterly newsletter for 6 years (24 issues), will disperse information gathered during the priority watershed project, and call for input and response; 2) educational workshops, on a local and county level, consisting of slides, films, video programs, and speakers; 3) production of aerial films for use in the workshops, showing macrophyte variations and changes, and erosion transformation. Will be produced twice a year for 6 years (12 videos), and will involve rental of camcorder and services of pilot and airplane; 4) purchasing of needed computer software to set up newsletter, and VCR and TV to show videos;
