TOWN OF HUBBARD: Horicon Marsh - Sinissippi, East Branch Rock River
The Lake Sinissippi Association, in Cooperation with the Horicon Marsh Association and the USGS will operate a stage discharge station on the East Branch of the Rock River near Mayville. Data collected will be combined with data from two other stations and be used to provide a better understanding of sediment and Phosphorus loads entering Horicon Marsh, leaving Horicon Marsh, and entering Lake Sinissippi. This information is necessary to know what is causing observed water quality problems and how to return the Marsh and Lake to a healthy ecosystem. A full description of project scope and project deliverables is available in the grant application, which is part of this agreement. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
