CLEAR LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION INC: Clear Lk., Macrophyte Survey & Milfoil Control Plan
The Clear Lake Property Owners Association, Inc. will conduct a comprehensive survey of the aquatic plant community in Clear Lake in Sawyer County. This plant study is a necessary prerequisite for a potential future project which will attempt to restore the native aquatic plant life in the lake by removing the exotic invading plant called Eurasian Watermilfoil.
Activities involved in this project will include conducting a macrophyte survey, documenting soil conditions along survey transects, monitoring lake water quality for phosphorus and clarity, preserving lake plant samples, producing a final study report, and developing a demonstration project plan for possible future lake treatment to eliminate the Eurasian Watermilfoil. The study results and proposed future treatment strategy will be presented at a public meeting.
