LAKE JULIA ASSOCIATION: Understanding the Aquatic Food Web of Lake Julia
The Lake Julia Lake Association will sponosor a project which is the third phase of an assessment and education project on Lake Julia in partnership with Nicolet Technical College. This project will focus on macroinvertebrate animals and small fishes that live in Lake Julia. An assessment of species and populations will be completed to establish baseline data to be entered into a GIS database. The project will result in a report that describes the animal community and lays out management actions to sustain or improve these areas, updated GIS data layers, and an educational seminar to cover the work in the first three phases of the project. This seminar would be for both Nicolet students and lake residents.
