BLACK OTTER LAKE PROT & REHABILITATION DIST: Black Otter Comprehensive Lake Management Plan

Gather of physical, chemical and biological lake information which will include: 1) physical survey of the lake depth, area, contours, and hydraulic residence time, 2) chemical sampling as referenced in the project description of the application,3) biological inventory of aquatic plants. Investigation and assessment of several potential management options. Preparation of an up-to-date land use map for the lake's watershed, as described in the application. Description of current governmental jurisdictional boundaries within the watershed, and their regulatory authority concerning lake use. Examine adequacy and propose changes if necessary. Gathering of sociological information including two public forums and a questionnaire. Preparation, printing, and dissemination of a final report by newsletter mailings, fact sheet mailings, public meetings, local newspaper articles and poster displays.
