FRIENDS OF DEVIL'S LAKE STATE PARK: Devil's Lake Swimmers Itch Study
Researchers will monitor densities of cercaria and snails thoughout the growing season. They will monitor lake conditions to determine how lake productivity relates to swimmers itch. They will survey of Devils Lake users. The resulting sociological, biological, and chemical data will be available to managers to develop a comprehensive plan for managing swimmers itch in Devils Lake and provide a template for other lakes with this problem.
