DEER LAKE CONSERVANCY INC: Deer Lake: Aquatic Plant Management Plan
The Deer Lake Conservancy, Inc. will conduct a comprehensive aquatic plant management planning project involving a macrophyte study and evaluation on Deer Lake in Polk County. Project activities include; conducting an aquatic macrophyte survey during the summer of 2003, collecting lake sediment samples and analyzing for phosphorus and evaluating phosphorus release from those sediments, evaluating treatment options for a restored wetland receiving barnyard wastewater, developing specific sensitive area recommendations and specific management objectives for aquatic plant management and exotic species monitoring and control, developing an implementation plan for long term lake management goals and strategies, and completing an updated comprehensive aquatic plant management plan.
