KEYES LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Florence Co. Lakes Protection through Education, Outreach, & Hands On Experience

This project is sponsored by the Keyes Lake Improvement Association and will work in partnership with the Florence County School system to establish an adopt-a-lake program on Keyes Lake. The project will also create shoreline restoration education sites on Keyes Lake, Fisher Lake and Lake Emily. Students will collect information on the lakes and will also be involved in larger community based education through media contacts and other outlets. This project will create several lending libraries with reference materials on shoreline restoration and lake protection.
