LAKE REDSTONE P & R DISTRICT: Lake Redstone Bottom Withdrawal
This project will provide further information to evaluate the potential for bottom withdrawal for reducing internal phosphorus loading. The final report will summarize lake monitoring results and stream monitoring results. It will assess whether bottom withdrawal will reduce in-lake phosphorus loading and benefit lake quality. A WDNR environmental engineer will use stream waste assimilation models to determine acceptable downstream organic loading rates. Both test withdrawal and projected discharge rates will provide further information towards the goal of determining whether the maximum acceptable discharge rates will significantly benefit the lake water quality based on lake response modeling.
