LAKE HURON ASSN: Lake Huron Comprehensive Lake Study
The scope of this project includes multiple components with appraisal objectives. Baseline data will be collected on several areas including aquatic plants, groundwater flow, lake water quality, watershed features and water levels. The aquatic plant survey will incorporate line intercept methods and include 10 shore transects for emergent/wetland species. A water quality appraisal will include April, June, July, Aug, and October events with parameters listed in application scope. (pesticide analysis not to be funded) Watershed appraisal will include definition of boundary, land use, sensitive areas, and likely sources of sediment/nutrients with strategic recommendations.
Water level and groundwater appraisal will include piezometer install and monitoring to define flow paths and water level impacts.
